About this Website

Well! I'm sure this test will prove to have some fasciniating correlations, but I'm betting that I won't see most of them. The image this time is a section of a map of Northern Ireland. Some of the responses below have direct connections to the image, but my guess is that some posting have connections that are emotional or historical and not necessarily literal. If you have anything you want to share, please don't hesitate to email me and I'll post it in this archive. A few thoughts:

  • Regarding Jim's percpetion of the boat or ship: Ireland is of course an island with a lot of coast line. I also think of the thousands of people who left Ireland in the 19th and early 20th centuries by boat. Water is prominent on this map as well.
  • Traingle Boy's "wavy lines" are much in evidence
  • KayLee also saw blue water, and lakes
  • Just Me's "oval with a line running through it" seems like a direct hit of the city markers (circles), all of which have lines running through them.
  • Steve N's "automobile advertisment from a magazine" might be a version of these 'auto roads' on a map (magazine?).
A side note: I originally scanned this image in because some of my ancestors were Irish and I have a strong connection to the culture. I'm hoping to visit the Emerald Isle within the next year or so. When we started this test a few months back, I scanned in several months of images and randomly put them into folder dated for each test. I was tickled when I went to post this test and found that it was the map of Ireland, because St. Patrick's Day fell within the testing period. It's also interesting because the 'stalled' Irish peace process has been in the news daily recently. If you have the yen, send some peaceful energy their way.

The map is quite large (90k) and will take about 45 seconds to download on a 28.8 connections, so I've linked it separately from this page. Take a peak.
